Nice one Lloydie, good find.
I guess tightening steering head bearings is like a basic friction steering damper and as long as you don't go too tight on taper bearings you can get some extra friction which based on your findings can be used for stability.

It doesn't have to be a lot of play.

That's one of my little trick too Al

Admittedly a steering damper would probably be a better option,
Chris.

Ha ha did I say painting

powder coating as I want a harder longer lasting finish this time and I can't be arsed to do it myself .
I've done my share of painting wheels in the past.
Tho never had a reaction like yours .
But I'll still take the baton and give it to Virt !!

Go Virt,
I feel sorry for,you.
The wheel painting episode was one that I would rather forget.
Now it's up to you to pass the baton on or otherwise the curse will be on you!
Good luck!!.
Sort of like a chain letter this but beware if the curse should strike you, you will live to regret it.
Heaven knows I did, numerous pages of post later it is finally gone.
Over to you Virt.
I might have a

while I watch this.
Surprise , surprise!!!
