I think you've made the right choice, but then there are those who prefer powder coating, looking forward to seeing the results

Done both more times than I can remember, I always paint now. There are many, many, many arguments for both, but if you chip a powder coated wheel (and they do chip) it'll be a nightmare to get it redone as you have to remove the coating, with paint you can get it done in a day or two, modern paints...

Drop the water and see what you have, just open up all the pipes, and let it drop out. Then refill and see if it holds water. It would also be worth taking the plugs out and spinning the motor up to see if you have any water in the bores, and check the oil for water. If it all checks out you should ...

Thanks for all the help. I can't get the lock apart as Honda have sealed it in the housing. I'm using JB weld at the moment and we'll see how we go, it does seem to be great stuff

Does anyone have a repair method for the monkey metal that lock barrels are made from? I've got a worn lug on mine and I'd like to be able to repair it.
