Re: New Bellypan
I really like that, I think the gap between the fairing and the belly pan all ways looks good on the Storm

Now remember it's "like a VTR"
Having owned both and still having the SV, I can assure you that the SV is a better bike, but, it's like a VTR but not one... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Suzuki-SV-1000-S-SV1000S-SV1000-2003-03-PLATE-37728MLS-FULL-HISTORY-LIKE-VTR-/271157117827?pt=UK_Motorcycles&hash=item3f22394383 And if I'm bein...

Re: Does K&N air filter make a noticable difference?
Mine came with a K n N filter, I replaced it with a Genuine Honda filter and the bike was loads nicer. As has been said if you get the bike jet'd to suit then it'll be ok, but if you're going this far you may as well put a set of free flow cans on it, gas flow the carbs, match the inlet tracts to th...

Re: Powercoat or paint???
Done both more times than I can remember, I always paint now. There are many, many, many arguments for both, but if you chip a powder coated wheel (and they do chip) it'll be a nightmare to get it redone as you have to remove the coating, with paint you can get it done in a day or two, modern paints...

Re: anti freeze
Drop the water and see what you have, just open up all the pipes, and let it drop out. Then refill and see if it holds water. It would also be worth taking the plugs out and spinning the motor up to see if you have any water in the bores, and check the oil for water. If it all checks out you should ...

Re: Crap metal repair
Thanks for all the help. I can't get the lock apart as Honda have sealed it in the housing. I'm using JB weld at the moment and we'll see how we go, it does seem to be great stuff

Crap metal repair
Does anyone have a repair method for the monkey metal that lock barrels are made from? I've got a worn lug on mine and I'd like to be able to repair it.
Cheers
