Leads, coils and plug caps.

So, I am unfortunately a genuine parts man. My bike is near on 20 years old and thought it time to replace the coils and plug leads - just because I wanted to. I have never changed these on a bike before, and when I ordered them, it turns out the coil with leads and the plug caps are separate parts ...

I have always been a genuine parts man but thought a) a dealer should know, and b) I didn't want to wait for the genuine part to arrive (needed to be ordered in).

In future, I'll stick with genuine....once bitten.

Problem solved. Tip for new players (me!) - use only a genuine Honda O-ring. The dealer did not have any genuine O-rings in stock, but said 'this one is half the price and will do the job.' It didn't. It was slightly thicker than genuine and would not slide in no matter how much persuasion I was ...
