Just started it up to see if the battery had died (didn't ride it) started fine, held it at 3000 revs, no fluctuation at all
Am I right in thinking it's not a timing issue? Surely if it was a timing issue, the issue would always be there even on idle

Right so the bike has to be running when you disconnect those fuel lines to check the diaphragm?

Just lifted the tank, removed the two pipes from the bottom of the petcock and no fuel coming out

I have no knowledge at all of bike mechanics and only slight basic knowledge of car mechanic
the fuel is fresh and is BP
No idea what a cct is
And I thought the valve timing couldn't be adjusted
As far as I know there has been no mods to the carbs but it has got road legal scorpion cans on
