Re: Ongoing Fueling issues

Well, 2 days at Cadwell and all isn't well!...... Bike ran lovely in the morning of saturday as I was learning the track, as my confidence grew, so did my balls!! Braking as late as possible for Park, saw the bike bog down as bad as ever when asking for power mid corner, I couldn't get it to clear a...

Re: Track days 2019

Had the weekend at Cadwell - nice to meet you freerideNick!
Bloody technical track, took me all day Saturday to get my head around it, Sunday was great, bike was better (more on that in Workshop).

I did try to stick with Nick....... but that didn't happen

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

I looked at my bike today!.... Not done anything to mine since the dyno day. I have been otherwise preoccupied sorting the mess called the back garden - moved 30T of rubble & soul out & moved 18T crushed concrete in for patio base in & layed 150m2 of turf! All this with no access to back...

Vacuum Valve

I know there’s plenty on here about the issues of them and how to fix them etc, but when I was carrying my tank to shed, my hose from valve started leaking fuel. Now assuming the valve is stuck open, should I be bothered to take it all apart? Bearing in mind I have a fuel pump so gravity flooding of...

Dyno graph

As I said, Here’s my dyno graph from my visit to PDQ, I didn’t keep any before graphs - didn’t see the point! It may not be the most powerful bike here but I’m happy with the results just from fitting the heat shield around front carb! https://i.postimg.cc/YGFtvJ1B/0728-EDBA-97-D1-4-EAA-82-C0-398726...

Re: Ongoing Fueling issues

Thanks Tony,

I've been searching through posts on here and it looks like there isn't much benefit from changing from what I can see. I'll probably leave it until I change the chain & then keep same size front and go 2 bigger on rear.

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

It did flow.....too well that the carbs didn’t like it! 😅 It`s all about tuning; I have been running this set-up for a few years now and, while it took time to get it sorted, it runs perfectly well now (no burbles or flat sports anywhere and it pulls like a banshee regardless of rpm). I am sure it ...

Re: Ongoing Fueling issues

Thanks all.
I guess these bike manufacturers do put a bit of effort into their R&D (except Buell, they used their customers  )
Anyway, I am soo looking forward to Cadwell in Sept.
thinking about changing sprockets before them to see if I can make 6th usable on track!....

Re: Ongoing Fueling issues

OK, all done & sorted. It wasn’t (all) me..... I had forgotten to put the caps over the carb breathers under air filter. Anyway, bike would hardly run so I put the totally standard airbox back on with K&N, ran much much better-almost perfect in fact. Couple of runs and Rob (dyno guy) switche...
