Re: Hi All

Hey Barmy.

Enjoy the bike mate, I'm sad to see her go :(

Looking forward to the MV that's about to fill her space in the garage though :)

Re: Old Kent Road

HI there, apologies for the delayed reply (counted in months). computer issues amongst other lame excuses.

Yeah I'm the one with the black storm with a VTR reg. Sounds like we've passed eachother at some point then :)

pull up and say hi next time, be good to meet you.

Old Kent Road

I don't believe it. It's been a year since I picked up my Storm, and I've been riding her daily into town (Bromley to Southwark). Cracking bike! In that time I've seen two others on the road. This month, 4 or 5 bikes, all seen regularly. All reds and yellows. Seems they're common as muck in Autumn ...

Re: Red one, Arlen Ness Leathers - Downham/Bromley

Hi mate

Indeed, rare to see one at all in London. I'm in Bromley myself mate, not a million miles away. If you ever fancy hooking up sometime let me know - often riding out your way, or perving at the bikes down at Boxhill, etc.

Red one, Arlen Ness Leathers - Downham/Bromley

Anyone on here? I was the on the black storm behind you for a while as you cut through Bromley Hill & Plaistow Lane.

Just to be clear I live around there, wasn't actually following you LOL

Silver Storm - Old Kent Road, London

Anyone on here running a Silver Storm (slightly worn  ) into town, travelling up the Old Kent Road from Bromley direction? If so, nice ride yesterday morning (I was on the black one with the 'VTR' registration). Good to see a couple of 10 year old bikes leave the Kwaks & R1's standing... all ...

Moriwaki Ti system on ebay

Hey all Just in case nobody spotted it. item number 320328611517 on ebay is Moriwaki system. Recall a couple of people mentioning they were like gold fillings in hens teeth recently :biggrin http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VTR-FIRESTORM-VTR1000-RACE-CANS-EXHAUST-HIGH-LEVEL ...

Cheers buddy.

Gotta go back in there to replace the rotten filters the covers were hiding so I'll do that. Was thinking of trying the airbox mod where you effectively remove the top too.

SOLVED

Checked the plugs and found one was heavily carbonised (strange as the other one's perfect, suggesting the front cylinder suddenly went extremely ric). So I popped the airbox lid off to check things out in there, and noticed something was a-miss. One of the two rubberised covers that live inside the ...

Cheers for the heads up there mate.

I think if I get to valve timing and CCT's I'm going to be clutching at straws.

Dealer's just got the plug spanner I ordered up to add to the kit, so hopefully today i'll pull the plugs and find a duff one.

That's one more rider joining my 'PAIR systems are to be junked the moment you ride out of the dealers' club.

More hassle that they're worth.

Hi there Just wanted to throw in some thoughts, having skimmed through the thread. If you're running race cans and standard jetting then I'd expect fuelling to be a little off as you're de-restricting the gas flow of the engine. Have you thought about cleaning the carbs up and fitting a dynojet kit ...

Ok, new Plug tool ordered from the dealers. Look's like I'll start tearing things down on the weekend. order of checks planned 1. pull plugs and see what's goin on (could be failed, or oil fouled) 2. If not that, fit carbtune and check sync and pressure 3. If not that, dig deeper and pull the CCT's ...

Same here. Sounds like a carb backfiring (reverberating in the airbox) Mine does it. My other Honda (Sohc4 motor) is prone to it too, particularly with the pod filters and modified fueling from stock. If it's a 'now and again' issue then no worries. If it's a constant backfire/knock then grab a ...

Didn't remove the tank completely. Have pulled the tank to check for pinched hoses though and could find any :(

Seems David Silver don't sell the spark plug tool either. Not my night really is it! :x
