Re: How to remove and refit CCT's on the firestorm

Thanks wicky, well fitted them today and following the instructions it went very smoothly. Bike sounds lovely so no further adjustment needed. I found the hardest part getting the breather pipes back on the air box ! One question I have, mine is the later 19ltr tank model and I presume there is no ...

Re: College CCT help

I too have a fair amount of mech design exp. I think the design might be a good design for the grades (not the bike), but the more features you add the more pontential to go wrong, to me the simplest is often the best and TBH ROAS's design is simply that but it is a design that is unlikely to ...

Re: Manual CCT's for sale.

Hi Tray, when do you think I will get mine? The tracking number you gave me just says they have been dispatched from the depot. Delivery is usually 3-5 days, dispatch is from Dublin depot which usually means in transit., longest delivery was about 10 days but that was to New Mexico and ccts ...

Re: How to remove and refit CCT's on the firestorm

Hi, just ordered my CCT's from ROAS  Reading through the instructions it appears reasonably straigtforward, just one bit I am not sure of. I am concerned that I will fit the tensioners in but how will I know if the tension is ok before I start the motor? presumably it is possible if they are ...

Re: Quick engine type question...

Just to add mine used to do it when sitting in traffic and actually stall the engine, first time it happened I thought It had snapped a rod, until it started right up and ran normally !

Re: Quick engine type question...

Sounds pretty normal to me, at least to say mine has always done it too ! It was quite worrying when I first got the bike, sounded like a piston was coming through the bottom of the tank ! 8O Just a trait of a large displacement V twin I believe, although mine does it a lot less since I took the K&N ...

Re: Clicking Relay.

If your relay is clicking but the battery is ok it probably means you have a starter motor or wiring / earthing problem. It is possible that there is a problem with the terminals in the relay but if it is clicking it is probably working ok. I can't recall what the relay looks like on the storm but ...

Looks like you could be needing this:-

Loads on ebay, these were the cheapest.

Have you done your CCT's yet ? :eek2

Re: replaced rectifier ,whats wrong?

Hi and welcome, I doubt if there is a fuse for the rev counter, sounds like you could have blown it  , does the temp gauge & speedo work ? Probably blown your headlamp bulb also.

Re: Honest,truthful couple 'jen.valentine.1998'&'bobthebuild

Also if the case goes against them ( which it sounds like it will ) the court can only make an order for them to pay, they can't make them pay. If they don't pay you can order in the court bailiffs ( you will have to pay ) to claim property to the value. They can also claim hardship and offer you ...
