Matt, Glad to hear its all coming together, its also great to see the good advice and experience here in VTR1000.org. Sound like you might be in Gloucestershire somewhere, if you need a cheap, good, replacement for the 'Storm try Bransons in Gloucester, they will have an excellent condition black ...

don't let them catch you
Kaz,
Thanks for this, it looks just the ticket. When I fit it I'll post a note to let the forum know how effective it is, never seen or heard of anything like the Flash.

They're out to get me
Thanks Haydn, my tank bag leaks, especially the transparent pocket on the top, then I would have to leave the pocket zip open for the earpiece wire. Would work OK in the dry, and this is the highest risk of being snapped. Kaz, remote detector would be good. What's already under my seat? standard ...

Anyone fitted a camera detector?
I just bought a Snooper S4Neo gatso detector for the car and was wondering if anyone has successfully fitted this or similar to a bike. Considering the item is not waterproof and needs to be looking at the sky to find its satellites the job doesn't seem straightforward. Never been snapped before ...
High & Mighty
The bar conversions look good. I don't have any probs with the lean forward riding position, but I do get loads of turbulence around my head. Tried a db screen, that's worse, its less windy but more noisy- strange but true! What effect does the conversion have on wind noise? does it affect the ...

Dyno'd ??
Bike must have a dyno kit as the needles have grooves, well the rear carb does (much easier to strip). How many holes are there in the slide as standard? Mine has 3 and I guess this is one more then Honda intended? Air filter well fouled, so that won't be helping. I found out the hard way its dead ...

Manual CCT
Thanks Max, I'm taking the front CCT out this afternoon to check it, bike is a bit rattly and you don't have to be paranoid to worry about CCTs if you read the threads. Interesting that the APE manual device seems to be designed for Kawasakis and their auto CCT is praised on other threads! Earplugs ...

SP/Storm?
If you just want more power it would be easier to get Roger at Revolution to sort out the engine. Probably even easier and cheaper to buy an SP and stuff some padding in the seat and raise the bars though.

CCT
This month's Bike features buying a used Storm. There's a ref to manual CCTs from Debben Racing http://www.debben.co.uk and the article is only £34 each. Seems a steal, anyone tried them? I would have thought adjustment at 4,000 mile service would be enough, though it might be tricky getting the t ...

Bike Show
I went on Wednesday and was a bit disappointed, partly at having to park in Wolverhampton but mostly with Aprilia's no show. Seemed like there is a tren to custom/cruisers- suppose they are bikes, but not my sort. Liked the new Trumpet, but not the Beemer, it just looked too BIG. Might as well have ...

Dynojet
Found out how to tell if carbs have been dynojetted- the standard needle only has one groove- not adjustable. Dynojet kit includes a needle with more than one- 4? grooves. Just whip the top off the carbs.

Sluggish
Thanks for the info on PEST, I'll give them a try. It might be running weak, I'll check the plugs. The throttle response is OK so I thought it might have been Dynojetted (the K&N was fitted by the previous owner, so I can't tell) is there any way to tell? The speedo has been re-calibrated with a ...

Sluggish Storm?
Its standard apart from a K&N filter & 15T front sprock, but couldn't match a Pan on the back straight at Donnington. Also, accelleration from ton+ is a bit minimal. Fuel consumption is suspiciously good, cruising at 90+ gives 120 miles before RLOD. Any ideas? Any recommends for a decent dynotester ...
