Re: Info on making my own exhausts ...

I have a complete rolling chassis, with an empty engine futted- all scrap parts, except the wheels, but it makes a very good jig to weld up full systems on.... I never got round to making any, though, just put the jig together and ran out if money for the welders I needed! I now need to move it on,...

Re: Noticed this when removed the carbs... expert advice nee

Yes, just reset the cam timing on both cylinders, following the guide in the workshop knowledgebase. While i did the CCT's i checked the space between valves and cam, all ok, 0,16 and 0,31. you cant tell when a Honda cct is going to give up the will to live best options are to do the stopper mod or go for the mcct either of these will save you a rebuild Stopper mod done, was actually a piece of cake :) 12 mm in the back and 11 in the front  https://www.dropbox.com/s/nlqrdyrjm...

Just remember Honda,HRC ,yoshi, moriwaki, akrapovic, arrow, pumped millions into exhaust development . My advice would be to reproduce one of theirs . The stock headers only need the welds cleaning ...

Re: Info on making my own exhausts ...

Bigger internal diameter 60mm with a long 500mm can will sound very deep but not bark if you know what I mean . The quill cans have a 55 or 57mm internal and 470mm long and by far the they sound deep and dirty . Ask anyone who has them without baffles Still dont get the use of bigger internal diame...

Length is a factor - stubbies are very noisy. Why not find a damaged aftermarket can, dismantle and see if you can duplicate it with some reverse engineering. B-29 > TU-4 reverse engineering http://b-29s-over-korea.com/shortstories/russianclone.htm That was actually my first idea with my own cans.....

Are there certain things to keep in mind ? Does the volume need to be the same as the original ones ? And something that ...
