Yeah. Picked it up from Swindon Total Triumph. Got it home and the engine management light came on again. So...... got to take it back. Apparently the cable to the exhaust valve thingy "settles"!!
[Its nice, but its not a Honda!]
I've got my eye on a Thruxton (with the fastback seat) for when I can't bend myself onto the VTR and can no longer kick start the Velocette

She's my idea of beauty and thats what I ride.
its the fact the street triple is just an unfaired version of the faired version as started in this post....Blue wrote:Must admit the speed triple does better than the street triple.I think its the bendy frame.
the speed triple has more of an edge looks wise imho.... and the single swinging arm is just HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOO.....
with high level cans it just OOOOOZES sex...
sh1t... BRB need a tummy rag...

The triple is the better looking of the two. My Dads mate has a black one
which ive ridden. Ive also had a tootle on a Street Triple.
Is the Speed worth nearly 2g more than the Street Triple

Not when I rode it tbh. The Streets more flick able due to its weight and is more fun to ride on the road imo. The triples a bit "lardy" but does have slightly more grunt due to the displacement.
If it was "Ive got a speed triple...bla...bla", general willy waving at bike meets, down the pub talk and looks id go for the Speed.
If it was bang for my buck, wanting a riders bike and use ability it'd be the Street
Suppose you have to look at your priority/needs?
