Network Problems

Post by Stratman »

Hi all. I set up a network with my previous Netgear router - main PC XP Pro, "spare" PC XP Home, both wired, and the laptop running Vista on wireless. Mapped the drive and file sharing etc worked fine.

Router died, so I bought a Belkin super duper one. All connect to the Internet using it and I have tried to recreate the netwrok, so the wireless network is named the same as the workgroup etc, but when I try to "view other computers in workgroup", they don't appear, even between the two wired connections, so I can't map a drive etc. :(

Tried everything I can think of :confused - any ideas anyone?

Seems to have semi rectified itself now. I am re-studying French, where items are either masculine or feminine. Strangely l'ordinateur , a compooter in French, is masculine. I could have sworn the temperamental b******s would all be feminine
