any idea how much i would be looking at for the set?

Didnt have Scorpions on the Storm but did on the TLS. They sold secondhand (cans only) for £170, so Mikes prices sound bang on. You'll be looking around the £450-£550 for brand new cans with high level links with todays prices.

Why not buy a pair of cans and have some link pipes made?

i got a set of extreemily loud like new second hand art cans with low and high level link pipes for £175 of ebay about 2 years ago so bargains can be found.
i would look around for a good used set unless you got money to burn.
