recommendations for an ISP

I’m on the old NTL (now virgin media) cable connection for Internet and phone line.
Not been happy with the service for a long time but seeing how I would have to get my BT line re-installed I haven’t bothered changing. but it seems virgin media are blocking Rapidshare even using a download manager :mad2

I use to be able to download about 300 Megs then I.e. 3 files then the links would go dead now its about 200 Megs :mad2
Not good as it’s an unlimited package

Any way will have to change from the phone line to BT to be able to use another ISP
So need some recommendations for an ISP

I’m after an unlimited download package 3-4 Meg connection speed.

Got the feeling that virgin media is robbing bandwidth to sell on to the 20 plus Meg brigade :mad2 :mad2 :mad2

try get a deal off BT for complete thing, nothing wrong with that for starters, get Phone, net, mobile and TV programs all as package. Im with Sky at moment, as a package with Sat so cheap and cheerful.

I use ZEN and have for several years. They all know what they are doing, it never goes down and no bandwith problems. Not cheap, but that's why it works (support is free too)

personal opinion warning:

If you can get Virgin fibre optic - get that.

If not - Tiscali / Pipex (same company) go for their 8mb unlimited package.

Or yeah, BT homehub deals with telly and all that if you happen to like stupendously over paid prima donnas who fall over at the draft off somebody's boot. Or something.
