1st V Twin, 1st track bike, 1st Honda (for about 30 years!)
Sounds nice on Remus GP cans, I wonder what it goes like.
Well I'll find out next Wednesday at Oulton Park.
Evenin' all.

So how did it go?
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Sorry bud, only just seen this (I was on track when you posted it)tony.mon wrote:So how did it go?
What a day! What a bike!
The first time I rode the bike was over to the noise test which it passed (just).
The second time was on the 20 minute sighting session in the rain.
The rest of the day was dry and quite an experience. I'd done a track day at Mallory last year on my road bike, 60 kgs heavier and Mallory only has 6 (?) corners.
Oulton has blind crests, banked corners, blind entries, corners with 2 apexes and there are about 98 of the buggers, christ knows how they manage to remember which way the TT goes
The Firestorm is a lovely bike, so forgiving, didn't seem to mind what gear it was in, very flickable (it has a shock spacer in, and progressive springs at the front) and was just so much better than I am that I could concentrate on learning the track and, well, having fun.
I'll put it on the road when summer arrives, until then, I've another day at Donington booked in June. and Mallory in August.
So Tony...
It went alright, thanks

Re: I've got a Firestorm track bike
Glad it went well.
I've been using the "it's my only bike and I need it for work" excuse for a while now and it's about time I got mine up to Brands for a little gentle ride out.
