Insurance renewal time

Post by pariah »

Bewiser insurance.

I requested an online quote today, it came back with 174 quid. 8O , Naaa way 2 much. They asked if I had a cheaper quote, told them yes which was FC at 111.42 quid. mind you this didnt have any extras . ( didnt tell them that though ) sent this off via there web site and ten mins later some one called back and gave me this quote.

165 pounds fully comp with 350 excess. ? this quote includes free road cover with the AA, legal cover and like for like replacement bike in the event of anything happening. :D :D :D :D
Also payable in monthly instalments as well .

Not to bad me thinks. :o :o :o

So never take the first quote on a web site. ask them to call you , you never know it might just pay off like mine has. :D :D :D

Tops tips there mate, I have played the money supermarket/compare.com game for a few years now and saved thousands. The Blade went from £550 to £340. Never let the b***ers renew auotmatically either :x

Spot on advise Jim.

I managed to save £90 on the Muell this year. It's only cost me £105 with the AA.

Just insured mine also, me is 42 with 2 years no claims.....wait for it.......£61.20 tpft.....!!!!!! could have took the fully comp at £91 but for a bike that is 12 years old and worth £1500 notes its not worth doing, cos if it fell off its stand and did the left side in by the time its fixed it wouldnt be far off the value anyway so they would probs write it off from the start!!!
The company is Dial Direct......who ever they are lol

Isn't being an OLD B***ard great!
I've just got my Red Storm and have been licenced for a mere 30 days...
Been driving for 17 years though. Only had a 125 until now... (saving for the big day!)

AND I'M 35! To you mate... £280 tpft.

That's garaged, with 6 points on the old pleasure passport and includes RAC, Legal and Personal Accident.

Went to £800 if parked on the drive!!! Am building the garage as we speak!

I think its ok saying i paid this amount and so on, but it depends on the cover your getting.

I was with Aquote last year, really cheap and no problems with them, but have since found too many bad reviews about them, more so if you change your bike midway through your policy,so decided to take my business elsewhere.

Swinton came out tops for me this time , -----Bandit 1200, age 45(me -not the bike  ),fully comp , legal protection, protected no claims , and Zero 8O voluntary excess was around £95, but i decided to take breakdown cover for the first time ever on a bike policy ,and the price shot up bigtime :!: I still decided to go with them though :)

Very good advice IMHO Stevie.

Also no point in having cheap price fully comp insurance if your excess is sky high.

Your deal sounds pretty good to me Stevie :!:

They're all bloody rip off merchants. I'm still waiting for the XS500 they said they would give me last year.

I was completely suckered in.

I reckoned that even if it was a non-runner I'd be able to rebuild it- Yamaha bits are always easy to get.

And a big single seem like a lot of fun..

So I waited in all day after the money had been taken, nothing. Same next day, in the end I phoned them and they said it was a"mistake".

Bloody right- I should have gone to Carole Nash. She was out, but one of her sons said that although their quote was higher by £40, they would have given me an XS750, I just didn't fancy shaft drive.

Anyway, I got my own back- I gave them the wrong reg number, so now anyone reporting me for a hit-n-run will cause them a HUGE amount of extra paperwork.....
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
