It was always going to happen!!

Post by bob the builder »

Evenin' all. I used to frequent here when riding my yellow Firestorm. I then left the V Twin scene and headed off to ZX6R land, which lasted about 10 months, the V Twin bug never went away.

January this year got myself an Aprilia RSVR Edwards Replica, Brembos, Ohlins etc, pretty damn good machine. But, have always wanted an SP1......dream bike for me.

So.............................today popped in to my local frienfdly bike shop and bugger me there staring at me red SP1.

It took me all of 10 minutes to get to the test ride...............and 20 minutes later to say lets do a deal.

Picked it up at 16 30 hours, now done 102 miles since.

What a bike! I thought the Aprilia was good with all the fancy bits etc. but it's the sum of all parts that make the machine and although the SP1 is down on power and fancy bits it is a far superior machine in ALL departments, the quality of the finish just oozes everywhere.

It's 3 years older than the Aprilia but feel like new even at 15 000 miles.

Definately harder work round the town but on the open roads far superior on the twisties.

If you are thinking blag a test ride, well worth it.

Hi mate..

Somethings happened when you copied and pasted the links. If you copy the above lines into a browser window WITHOUT the [IMG] placeholders it works.
I know, i saw the Bleeding COOL SP1.

Well done BTW!
