Re: anyone have source for shock upgrade good value deal ???
For about half the price of an Ohlins you could get yourself a Hagon shock. OK not as blingly as the Ohlins or have as many adjustments, but it does a better job than the original shock and you can have a correct weight spring for your body weight supplied with it. Tony.mon and Stratman have them and may be others. AFAIK they are well pleased with theirs.

If you post a pic of your shock we might be able to help with what it is, if that's any help,
Chris.

Re: anyone have source for shock upgrade good value deal ???
I looked at a Hagon shock when I had the VTR. Good value unit like Chris says.
I ended up buying a Technoflex unit from Holland which was moderately pricier. Hagon didn’t have all the parts in stock for the VTR unit when I wanted to order and said it would take up to a month.

Yeah, happy enough with the Hagon, although I paid extra for the remote adjuster.
But it's got a bit of rust on the top collar, after only about two months. I contacted them, they said they'd replace it (there's a 2 year warranty) but suggested I use it this winter and change it next spring.
Seemed a good idea, so I'll be holding them to that.
If they go out of business at Xmas I'll look bloody silly, mind....

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
