Some of you know I was getting peeved at the orgional paint job and broken fairings on the storm, accumulated replacement parts everything well almost, sanded down some of the spare fairing and gave the lot + paint and 2PAC to a so called M8 who would do a "fantastic job" or so I thought............... Cost me £100 to him + me buying the paint + lacqure. From a distance the bike now looks ok, look up close, peppered with dust spray marks odd run and bits not covered, orange peel effect wish I did the damn job myself now, only reasion I didn't cus my compressor doesn't do the 10cfm, for the spray gun. But fook me a sodding 16 year old could have done better. Live and learn I guess if you want something done properally do it yourself and don't skimp or believe so called M8's who say they can do a decent job. Rant over kinda.
Put fairing back........... Started bike, humm sounds strange, burblying around then cuts out, i'm guessing the fuel tap diafram is stuck or something, what else is there to check and how to fix, or is it just a matter of taking it for a hard spin to try and get any crap through the system. Can only start and keep it running on full choke, choke in it dies. I did airline the tank out prior to fitting so hopeuflly no paint dust got in. Also put bright yellow ballons on the fuel lines etc to stop crap getting in. If the tap diafram is stuck whats the best way to release it or is there some other problem.
Intoxicated peeved NAS rant over........................

Yes that's my motto, if you want a job done properly do it yourself
I realise that that's not always possible for everybody, but if you can do it yourself at least you know the job has been done properly.
May be some careful T cutting will help bring the paint and lacquer finish back up.
As for the running problem, have you put the vacuum pipe back onto the correct outlet at the back of the tap (the back of the tap faces the battery). It should be on the horizontal outlet and not the vertical one that faces the ground.

Nas, you're not the first one to make that mistake and I doubt very much you'll be the last. Glad you got it sorted,
Chris.
