my blade was 1998 rrw. i had it for 7 years and must say i had a lot of fun on it. i had never ridden a blade before i bought it so i had a few hair raising moments at the start because they are fairly twitchy with the 16" front wheel. overall the blade gets a definite thumbs up from me.
as for the storm, it feels more controlled than the blade. even if it isn't as quick as the blade, i'm liking the pull it has and it gets up to top speed no time. i am going to say at the moment i prefer the storm. the feel and sound of the v-twin thumping away outweigh the lack of top speed
The rear ends look neat, how on earth do you manage to get away with those number plates, especially the size of the one on the Red Storm I realize they are not UK numbers, but even so
Welcome aboard mate....I'm about to pick up my second storm and think they are great bikes.Like the pics, which is yours the red or the black? They both look ace
the red one is my brothers which is originally an english bike.
as for the number plates, u can be done for them especially my one with the chinese looking letters.
some cops say nothing about them and some will tell u to change them or they will do u.
on the blade i had, which was torquoise, i had a black plate with torquoise numbers.
in the 7 years i had it, no cops said anything about it even though they pulled me one night because they said it looked like i had no plate in the dark. they were like " oh u have a numberplate, drive on so."
it is getting stricter but some cops don't seem as bothered as others.

I have to agree a big legal sized number plate does IMO spoil the look of a bike.
I very much doubt many if any of us here in the UK would get away with any of those plates now Enjoy it while you can
