Flippin Snow.......i'm fed up with it now !!!

Post by bikerpiker »

It's nice to look at out the windows, but apart from that it's a total pain in the butt :mad2

I havn't had my car at my house for 3 days, cos if i was able to get it up the hill, then i wouldnt be able to get away from the turning point again, and i'd have no chance gettin out of my driveway.

Same with our Christmas visitors tomorrow, they will have to park and walk up over the hill to the house ,another problem being that it's our turn to go for xmas dinner at my wifes sister's house ,who lives in the same village, the thing is, as there are so many of us ,we take round 4 chairs and a folding table which gets joined up with theirs ,cos there are 4 of us, and 4 of them ,plus my wifes mother and father ,possibly more,...............so looks like i'll have to carry the friggin table and chairs the length of the street to my car,.....then drive the other 200 yards or so to theirs :!: It'll be quite a sight

My back is bloody sore trying to push the brave folk that do come up the street , in most cases (tbh only maybe two cars per day)my neighbour tows them out with his Mitsubishi Delica caravanette 4x4 :!:

It was - 7C this morning at 9am when i drove the wifey to work ,the roads are really dodgy ,i've just cleared my path ,snow was around a foot deep in my garden.

White Chrismas ?....................you can shove it up yer butt :!:

What you need to do Stevie is turn the table up-side-down and use it as a sledge :biggrin Simples  Bung the chairs on top and away you go.

OR

Stay at home

Great pic's mate and it does look wonderful, but I know what you mean about it looks nice to see from the inside of your home,

Chris.

you need to get a second bike like mine so then you can go out and have some green lane fun in the snow!!!

Problem for me is it only snowed here for the first time this winter yesterday and today I've been rushing round getting the presents I should have got weeks ago!!! Doh.

Aye, i heard that !!! My wife was in the chippy tonight, and there was a fella getting served who actually spreads the grit for the council ,he said we were to get 8 inches tomorrow night .............................my wife told me the story when she came out the chippy into the car .
I said to her ' do you fancy 8 inches tonight'? ,she says 'are you going to manage it twice'.....cheeky bugger

It used to be like this every year though if my memory serves me correct. I lived in Otley (Yorkshire) as a kid and we would always get about a foot of snow that seemed to hang about for 3 weeks. Only last 10 yrs we have had bugger all to speak of. Year before last the bike didnt get a week off all winter, loads of dry crisp bright days :D

Hi Stevie

I'm getting bored with the snow now too. Took me three hours to get back from Tesco on Tuesday and I've got a 4x4. The roads were blocked by rear wheel drive BMW's and Mercs that coouldn't get up the hill. Ended up driving up the pavement to get past.
My Storms MOT ran out and because of the snow I cant get it to Blairs Garage, but then I can't use it untill this lot melts.
Nice piccys

Grant ,regardin your MOT , 'Fleetpoint' in Newmilns are pretty good ,that's where most of us go now ,he's a biker himself, and a decent guy .

Aye ,i'm scunnered with this snow, but finally got the car up to the house ,still a foot of snow on my front lawn ,but seems to be receding every day...........a bit like my hairline

Hopefully no frost or snow tonight,as i'm running my dad and stepmother to Glasgow airport at 3.30 am 8O ,they're off to Florida for 3 weeks ,lucky sods !

Aye ,Tues was bad, everywhere at a standstill, and most mobile networks not working ,in 11 years of living in Fenwick that's the 1st time ive been unable to get the car up the street ,fookn back is sore pushing cars that do try it .

Mind you,a visitor at a neighbours got stuck in her vw Golf,so my neighbour gets into her 4x4 ,wellies it down the grass ,drives onto the road behind her stuck visitors car,and promptly thuds into the rear of the vw golf and pushes it up the hill 8O 8O
