4 wheels move the body, 2 wheels move the soul...........
Re: 60 mls to a tank ?
Lowest I've ever managed is 85, and that weren't hanging about.
Normally 100 or thereabouts.
You've either got a problem, or I'm not going on a rideout with you!
Tried taking the choke off?

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Gunked up air filters will make it run very very rich.

Re: 60 mls to a tank ?
im stopping and starting a few times wot with lights and roundabouts,so not often able to get out of second gear, before its warm im there, use the choke to start her up ,as soon as im off ,choke is in,bike when warm ticks over at around 1200 rpm, runs nice and smooth and quiet, fully serviced by dealers in nov, only done 200 mls since, maybe a longer run will give me a more accurate figureVTR1000KAZ wrote:i'd say there's summat up, there mate !![]()
the short distances won't help.. bike's only just getting warm and you've reached ur destination![]()
when the weather improves, try taking it out on a longer run, see what you get then.. think the majority tend to get around 100 miles to the tank before rlod(smaller tanks)

Re: 60 mls to a tank ?
sounds like the choke is stuck, or there is a fuel leak........that is not a normal tank range even comuting.

Re: 60 mls to a tank ?
You have a serious fault there - I've never got less than 100 miles on a thrash up to double legal speeds (on a private road near me
)
It could be any number of things but there should be no "maybe" at taking it back under warranty.
I get (and always have) 42 mpg on a normal run and about 35 mpg on a thrash.

I commute 52 miles a day on mine and fill her up every 2 days. The light used to come on at around 95. It now comes on anywhere between 105 and 115 which may be related to the exhaust mod or toned down riding. Most I have managed is 128.

60mls to a tank is bad-even by Firestorm standards
I usually managed around 95-105 before the red light.
About 75-85 on a thrash

Only way to get one to read more than 120 between fill-ups is to switch to a kilometre clock!
