Fitted these yesterday, sent the fella a gasket to work from on wednesday and they arrived saturday maybe now he's done a couple he wont need the gasket so makes it easier for you. £52.75 incl. P&P. Only critisism is that the nut on the end is not pinned but maybe he'll do that if asked.
They come with an Oring behind the locking nut but I smeared some gasket sealant on the bolt before screwing it in.
I checked how far the old ones were extended then adjusted the new ones to the same length. Ran the bike till warm then backed out each tensioner till it started to get noisy then screwed it in til the noise went. Started the bike from cold this morning and the familiar tac tac sound was there (but very quiet compared to how it was) but went away after a minute or so. I did find it hard to judge how much tension I was putting on them just turning the bolt by hand, I was planning to just do them up finger tight then back them off half a turn but that seemed a bit off I think they would still have been too tight. I've cleaned the bike up a bit and sealed all the leaks in the exhaust, it's really quiet now can really notice the intake noise which I couldn't before. How easy are they to fit?? do you simply unbolt the old ones and put these in?? what do you do with the chain and the end of the tensioner??? Im useless when it comes to engines..... but i can build a wall!!!!

When you take out the old tensioner look down the hole you'll see that the end of the bolt on the new ones presses against the tensioner blade not the chain. If you lock the old ones in position before you take them out you can pre-adjust the new ones to that to give you a starting point for the final adjustment. It's not particularly difficult but it's not something you'd want to get wrong!

also how much do you tighten them? i noticed someone on here saying finger tight then back off half a turn, but i remember reading someone on superhawk forum saying finger tight plus a quarter turn
Mine aren't pinned but I'll do that myself with a 3mm rollpin if they ever come loose.
They're glued or threadlocked at present, seems pretty firm as there's not going to be much force transmitted through the end nut, only finger pressure really.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
