lectric kits are good for practice imo but just arent the same.
not a drummer myself but had a few bands when i was alive, dunno, things mustve improved since, same as nobody plays proper pianos / orgins anymore

before you know it, there'll be no such thing as a strung guitar or bass either, it'll be all samples with guitar hero styled sh1t.

big decision imo, a choice between being a real drummer / percushionist, or a machine operator...

guy said the same though - ideal for practice / coaching.
good benefit is you don't have to deafen the whole street when you practice, plus you're straight digital recording without having to mic & mix...
can see the benefits, but it's still going away from the real thing imo

Should have mentioned before-I'll only be practicing and "jamming" to my favourite tunes...

Don't have time to play with a band anymore. Plus I can't justify a full acoustic in an end terrace with minimal room. Don't think No.4 would appreciate me thrashing away to System, Metallica and the like or thrashing at all (q TM )

Looking for a set ATM, daughter plays lead guitar and my son wants to try drums.

Haven't got room for them but once he's off on the world tour supporting Avenged Sevenfold we can stick them in his room.
