Glad to hear your in one piece, albeit a bit sore and bruised  . As others have said at least a bike is repairable or replacable, have a few more    that will dull the pain lol

It will be back on road early next week hopefully mate :) just bruises aches and pains, although they do seem to be getting worse now. Ar*e is starting to itch a bit so must be healing, but the rib cage isnt.... think i might have to sucumb and go to chemist for some painkillers, still trying to be a hero, but the  helped lol.

Still be at operation storm, just planning next respray for when the weather turns nasty again lol

marlbororman wrote:most annoying thing is loads of bikes a few mins later came past and didnt stop, and it was a car driver that stopped, and he picked my bike up onto the stand for me too. Top man  What ever happened to the bikers code ?? i always slow or stop until i know the biker is ok, usually by a thumbs up. Those days are gone :(

seems like there are only a few that still remember the code mate, i always slow down if i see a bike and rider on the roadside and give a thumbs up, if i get one back im on my way but a shake of the head or shrug of the sholders and i stop to see if i can help. Its a bit like the nod, not many bikers let on now either.

That would of been a sight to see i bet

Aww mate that sucks big time. Glad you are ok. As you say, you can fix the bike.

Once you fix the bike, can you do it again only this time make sure you have plenty of battery life for the camera first? :biggrin

It changed in the early 90's for some reason, when I started riding in 88, seemed like everybody ono two wheels was friends (sort of), but then divisions started to appear. Why most harley riders don't acknowledge sportsbike and vice versa etc etc is a mystery. All european countries have fantastic cameraderie between all sects of bikes, it should be the same everywhere. Speed cameras too (grumble-mumble) why don't people tell you there's a mobile trap ahead? Would it kill you? Rant over

Lol    my butt is much better thanks, its the rib cage thats the painfull bit now, this morning i couldnt get outa bed, hurt that much... but got up had a few coffees went in garden, and prepped my spare tail plastics for painting. all sprayed with isolater now, ready for priming , painting and laquer tomorrow. recovered n/s front fairing, and belly pan. gunna sort them out tomorrow (not too bad actually), will take some pics and put em on this thread. gear change lever stripped. both yokes checked and they ok, so it was only the forks bent. only cosmetics to work onnow, then the rebuild. barton bike night on wed for a test ride :D :D

i'd agree with that!!! 8O
ive seen worse damage when bikes have tipped off the stand!
the subframes are made of mcdonalds straws so its a miracle it's not bent - no casing damage, tank etc even the screen has escaped!
jammy git!
goody bag is ready btw

Lol, yer there is a ding in the tank, and screen has got a crack, but crack in screen only visible from iside, close to the mirror mount, ning in tank if you look close to the honda wing on it. Bit of tarmac rash near where the red meets the white. And a scuff on the link pipe just under where the footpeg mouts low down, obviously theres a scuff on the n/s tail pipe not very big though. I really expected it to be a write off, when i saw it crash down 8O
