4000 miles/2 weeks/charity/on a 125!! hard core lol

Post by Anotherbikerbabe »

A very very good friend of mine Carole, was asked by a friend of hers to join him on his epic 4000 mile round trip right round the whole of the UK coastline on a 125 each for the Midlands Air Ambulance. The finished their journey last Wednesday after 14 days on the road and every place they stayed, someone put them up for the night, ourselves included, to do our bit. this saved them forking out on digs etc as the whole trip was funded by themselves. They even had extra fuel tanks put on the bikes to enable them to go that bit further between stops and not one day of rain did encounter the lucky buggers. I just thought I'd give them a real big hand        and post their link etc. They had 1 puncture, dennis had his boots fall apart from the heat, the ran off with Daves sat nav next day thinking it was theirs lol and I'm sure when we get to see her in August for a weekends riding around the Midlands and North/Mid Wales etc, we'll get to hear all about it..To think I thought I was hard done by after riding 400miles home on Thrsday!

I know some of you guys on here have charity runs  , which,if I'm honest, I know little about as I didn't see many postings on them, but please do let us know if you are doing any more etc. A worthy cause whatever it is and I'm sure there are some very grateful folk at the end of it

That looked like a big effort even on a big bike, but a 125 scooter is taking it up a notch, I am glad they got good weather and well done for the money they made for the charity.

ABB, good on you for supporting and letting us share the adventure.

I did like the comment that one of them made in the web link, that it made him realise that the fun is riding a bike, it is not important that it is a big bike, just being on a bike is the key.

i must've looked a bit daft in race leathers tho lol, not that i give a sh1t

this pair do get around though, i bet they've raised a fortune so far all for good causes, and had a great time, seeing some great country
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.
