Good pics Mike,
You would make a good wildlife cameraman :) , bloody freezing up here as well wind was from the north the last few days but has turned to the East and it has produced a good few heavy showers, 3 - 4" lying but deeper in the drifts. Was going to phone the local paper today as I spotted a gritter 8O The local council say they have loads of salt, enough to last the whole winter, FFS no wonder they can make it last as they are putting hardly any out :x . Had the last 2 days off as we can't get to the job we are working on, going to try tomorrow morning but don't really fancy getting stuck like we did on Wed and Thurs nights. Front wheel drive Citroen Relay and a ton of tools don't go up steep hills too well.

Cheers

Sister in law lives in small village in the borders and this was taken yesterday, 14 inches deep but they've had more overnight and she reckons she's measured it at 20 ins now 8O http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb21 ... r/snow.jpg

Snow was really deep this morning so fitted my £1 brand new car boot sale snow chains on car wheels. Minor roads deep snow no problem, main roads has to keep speed down because of vibrations from wheels. Got to work realised car was struggleing in fresh snow, one snow chain had come off. later in day went back down road someone had put it on wall at side of road so thanks to someone still have both. Post deliveries cancelled so Bike show tickets not arrived, think I'll go Saturday now. Also had a text from police friend, from today Humberside police are giving £60 tickets to cars driving with snow piled up on roof so be warned

they should also nick drivers for driving with un defrosted screens and side windows. :Argue 1:

and i passed a few on the motorway today who's screenwash had obviously frozen or run out - i could see by passing that their screens were near enough opaque.

should be a nickable offence when you can get antifreeze screenwash for like 1.99 in asda or any garage.
no excuse.
was in halifax yesterday in about 6" of snow, today in dkinfield near mcr a good 3" fell in the2 hrs i was there.
thought they'd have closed the m60 tbh as it was near impassable at one point.

scrimping on the grit as usual...... tomorrow should be fun when the slush all freezes.
defo not biking weather (for me anyway)
one lad off my local forum dropped his today on the way to work.
glad them commuting days are over for me.

where i parked today i thought wtf is that...... a flower lol! 8O

*btw neil, a workmate who lives over your end just got some car 'snow shoes' that go over the tyres, instead of chains - he said theyre excellent - not seen em myself but he says its just like driving on normal tarmac.
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.
