I hate to see her go, but I'm in digs now, I can't garage her anymore - and Pauline really needs a proper decent car...

This is a "mind triumphing over soul time" I may get another 7r when finances settle down - a GT would only get compared with....

....and I still have Stormy - in the fast orange!

Always loved the Suzi triples (wanted a GT380 when I owned my GT250!).
I adored the four pipes look but I'm sure yours sounds terrific. I remember they had that habit of misfiring on the centre pot in the rain from the water thrown up by the front wheel/inadequate mudguard !
Good luck with the sale.

Tried an ad in the VJMCC mag?
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Had GT250, GT380 & still got a GT750 which I've had for 30 years, not had it running for a long time. Have another GT750 in bits. Good bikes happy memories of riding them

She went for £2150, broke my heart, and the guy who bought it had the brass to say he expected better! I was more than clear it was a rolling resto too - he wanted concours! Ah well, no feedback I guess...

On the upside we scored Pauline an '04 Megane 1.6 with 38,000 for £2399 - result!

not a bad price tbh clive seeing as how the used market is atm.
not sure about the megane tho.... i had a 5yr old one not so long ago and ended up weighing it in.
never had so much trouble with a car, sensors on everything, ended up changing them all then final straw was the ecu smoking itself.
parked it up one day on the drive and that was it, big stop light on the dash and it never moved again.
rust as well all over the wheel arches & sills.
not what you expect off a major maker.

hope you got a good one lol....

I had major probs with one of the computers in me Jag - convinced an indicator wasn't working. I swapped it for the crappy Volvo diesel I have now, just turned left out the garage forecourt and did the whole test drive anticlockwise...! Buying a used car's always a gamble, and I do know Meganes have issues with the keyless locks, fingers crossed this is a good 'un.

i have issues with anything made in france.
had a renault kangoo van once at work and hated it. it handled like a supermarket trolley and the brakes were about as good.
i tried everything to kill it though but the fker wouldnt die, drove it all the way back from scotland in 2nd gear, ran it with no oil in, no water, took the gearbox oil out, still it lived 8O

a workmate drove his into the mersey to get rid of it lol.
finally i gave up and changed my job instead!

i had the option this time of a van or a car.... either another passat (had loads of sh1t with the last one) a laguna or a mazda6....
no way did i want the renault.

Clive
We had an 04 Diesel Megane Scenic.. only thing that ever went wrong with that was when the Missus filled it up with petrol... Never had a problem with it, great little car.
