Bugger the snow, I'm having a barbecue.

Post by tony.mon »

Bored now, can't get the bike out, the hosepipe's frozen so can't even clean the bloody bike.
The snow won't even stick together properly to make giant snowman, so I'm having a BBQ for lunch.

Proper charcoal in an oil drum, none of this noncy throw a match at a gas cylinder thing.

Photo evidence to follow.

Drop by if you like, but bring alcohol. I'm waiting for the Thor, but getting hammered on Apple Lightning in the meantime.

And I have a veggy option for the more tender souls. Cooking at 13.30, serving at 14.30.

(And yes, I know it's the south of the country, but we have a couple of feet here.*

* But they're both freezing, and in wellies. Nobody's laughing at the Giant Slipper now, are they?

I'm looking forward to seeing these Tony

It make perfect sense having a bar-b-que this time of the year. I always say how stupid is it on a baking hot day to have a barby. Standing on a nice cold day by a hot barbie makes more sense to me

That is very clever Mike, your snowman's face is very much like his

So:
Ribs, sausages, lamb steaks, lamb kofte's, and a veggie option sausages with a tiny pinch of Linda McCartney's ashes.
Oh, cheesecake and chocolate cake to follow, ta to M-in-L.

Done and with a fine dusting of powdery snow.

top man tony

Did that seal your reputation with the neighbours, or did the workshop days do that already?

I shovel snow off the path outside their house, they don't whinge about parties, barbecues, and bike tuning sessions.
Although a comment or two was made in the local working mens club about wanging it off the rev limiter for a couple of minutes last New Year's Eve at about half past two, while we were all playing the last (outdoor) hole of the indoor golf tournament.

Threatened me with a dog he hasn't got!
Cheek!

Dogs can't keep up once I'm in second anyway.
