Subject: Warning

Hi,

I received a warning for “advertising” which is totally ridiculous. So I asked for my account to be closed.

I then got an email from one of you saying I have a new PM. Having tried to log in to receive the PM, I find my account is closed. This is not a problem but come on, surely the admin who sent the message must know I wouldn’t be able to get to it?

Anyways, have fun, take care and ride safe.

Geo.

Actually I think you will find its not totally ridiculous if you take time to read the forum rules you will find it is clearly stated.

"Advertising:

1. Any member wishing to advertise their company/product and/or place links on this forum must FIRST contact an administrator for permission. If not contacted it will be assumed that the member is spamming. Please see Rule 6.

2. Any member making recommendations to other services, shops, hotels etc must refer to the company by name and not include a link. Links will be removed by the Mod team and the name inserted in its place.

3. Company names and web addresses must not be used as usernames, you will be contacted by a moderator and asked to change it. If you continue to post without changing your username your account will be deleted."

I pay for the server space out of my own pocket if you want to advertise you can at a cost, the forum isn't free adds, paying for advertising helps to keep the forum up and running.

Also how do you know it was admin that sent it? it could be another user.

Stu
Stu,

Well your rules are not acceptable to me which is why I asked for my account to be closed.

Thank you for taking the time to respond.

Kind regards,

Geo.

whoever heard of a bike forum with arsy jobsworth admin? - surely there must be a mistake :Beer Popcorn:
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Geo, I cant see enough information to Judge why the warning was given by the Admin, was it the Wheelie School links or was there something else?
Anyway, it looks like you didnt agree with the warning and chose to leave, so you were not barred but resigned.........so did you act in haste and now regret it.............if you are happy with your actions then you are not a knob. if you regret it then??????????

hey you asked for honesty :eek2

Thanks. Yeah it was about wheelie school. I think my passion for it got the better of me. I posted it on 3 sites. 2 of them were fine about it.

I only really frequent this site and another. Its not something I am going to lose sleep over tbh. Just thought I was going crackers!!

Maybe the admin has shares in another wheelie school, or fell off when they went to the one you're recommending and didn't get their bike rebuilt foc.

Who can say?

You get pulled by a bike plod, some days you get a lecture, some days you get a ticket.
You ask for 10% off in Asda, sometimes they will, sometimes they won't.
You hit Snooze on the bedside alarm, some days you get the correct button, some days you reset the clock to 00:00.
You phone in late for work, sometimes your boss says ok, don't do it again, sometimes you get fired.
You throw a match through your bosses letterbox, sometime it catches, sometimes it goes out.
You run away, sometimes CCTV gets a good picture of you, sometimes it doesn't.
You go to court, sometimes the judge throws the book at you as "an example to others", sometimes it's a suspended sentence.
You go for a shower first night in prison, sometimes you find the soap, sometimes you find a friend.
Sometimes your friends think you have a purty mouth, sometimes they don't.

Sometimes you're a knob, sometimes you aren't. The trick is to ask the right person...........
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
