Motorway speed proposed increase

Post by ChrisC »

It's been announced by Transport secretary Phillip Hammond that he has proposed an increase in speed limits on
U.K.motorways from 70 to 80 mph, supposedly to cut travelling times for motorists...far better to spend the money
of the conversion(road signs, etc) on the appalling road surfaces, that we are having to put up with.

What signs? Thought they were covered by the "blanket speed limit applies" black slash?
Two bikes, still only four cylinders!

they was also on about reducing speed limits to save fuel the other day,.... classic left hand doesnt know what the right's doing thingy
why do governments think they have to make laws & change things...... just empty the bins & leave us the crouton alone ffs.
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

perhaps I didn't make it clear.Hammond wants to put the speed up and introduce 80mph signs on motorways, because too many Foreign drivers don't understand the our national speed limit signs..

to make things easier, and save money on new signage.... just put a 1 in front of all the speed limits and convert to kph.
job done.
170kph is a little over 100mph which is a much more acceptable speed for modern veehickles.
