Like that electric hoist as well, hard to resist after lifting various Storm engines by hand (actually, back, not hand!).

And them socks have a big recommend from me, you have to look to see which foot they go on, so a bit complicated.

Also Lidl on the 7th March, not that I think there gear is quite as good , apart from the £20 tankbags that they will be doing again. Not the most stylish but they do the job. These are not on the website yet.

Lidl are doing the biker gear the next week. Apparently the base layers are pretty decent from them so might have to get myself down there because I could use a pair of bottoms for under the leathers when summer arrives.

I know their tank bags are pretty decent. Mate came down yesterday for a few hours and he got his there and praised it to high heavens. So might be an investment.

cheers for that. Mate has one on his Busa but then the Busa has a massive tank to go with the massive engine and massive balls you need to ride one.

The tankbag seems ok on mine, it certainly stays put. It isnt the best fit, the "skirt" with the magnets in could do with a slit to make it fold better round the tank, it was probably designed for a traditional tank shape. (Always like skirts with a slit!)

Mind you I have only tried it up to about 105 so maybe thats where the problem starts!

I bought the tank bag and the jacket and trousers about 3 years ago and I can't say a word against them. Bag stays on doesn't move the suit is warm and comfortable and completely dry.

the socks are pretty good,warm and comfy...my nephew has had the trousers just over a year with no probs,they've outlasted my buffalo aquawear trousers....the base suits are great under the leathers..will be getting more socks and the tankbag... maybe trying the trouses this time round..don't need the bike cover as my bikes have kingsize quilts to sleep under.

Picked up my socks and the electric garage roof beam hoist I was after.
Only problem is that the garage roof isn't high enough to clear head room with the hoist fitted, and the roof joists aren't strong enough, either, so it looks like I'll be fitting a new, larger garage roof.
And if I'm doing that I might as well give it enough height for a bit of overhead storage.
Then if I extend it a bit I can bridge the gap between the garage and a site hut I have about three metres away, and fit sides and a roof on that, too.

Mmmmm, I feel a project coming on for the summer.....

A good idea would be to hold another workshop day during summer mate and get anyone with building skills and no mechanical skills to do the work for you whilst you work on their bikes

as long as you wet it and double bag it you can take it to your local council site they usually have asbestos bins, (i know tovil one does in maidstone we dumped a whole shed there)

Just a thought Tony, my mate had the same problem so we made a frame from scaffolding and attached two legs to one side of the garage for extra stability,used two scaffolding tubes as cross members bolted together with a timber in between them,leaving the other two legs adjustable..worked well enough and can be stored away when not in use...
