Still trying to learn to catch it on the rear brake but keep crapping meself and chopping the throttle. After effects of flipping it I guess

Do you not drag the rear brake to compress the rear suspension then?

I dab it prior to launch like I was taught on the bandit 600, although its not needed on the storm.. But I want to be able to launch it as high as I can and catch it on the brake rather than relying on chopping the throttle to bring her down again.

I learnt to clutch wheelie on a bandit 600. Its a lot easier to hoist the storm up that's for sure.

Many people do it differently and have differing opinions on the best way.

I want to learn slow wheelies. Not really interested in super fast wheelies. Slow wheelies need you to be able to launch it high and catch it on the rear brake.

I launch in 1st gear (Standard gearing) at about 15-20mph and try to feather the throttle to keep it up. I'm still sh1t though as I am not going high enough. lol

I can launch in 2nd gear but 2nd at 2.5-3k is about 40mph. Too fast for me.

A couple of my mates have been to Jimmy Fireblades and loved it...ill have to get booked in as soon as I can.

To be fair, one of them is a bit of a nutter lol
