what have you done to your "bike" today
Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
today i have put 6mm of spacers (washers) on rear shock and used sirch345's settings on the front forks and the bike handles like a dream, might try with only 4.5mm on rear shock as it sits a bit high for my little legs lol, my roundabout fears have been slain and my confidence in right handers is back, many thanks for all the input guys and especially to sirch345 and tony.mon for the advice.
all i need to do now is get the bars sorted from soutie and i'll be a happy man.

keep off the grass, mate

it's hair raising to ride now lol - compared to the first ride on it with std carb & no transmission mods

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
why did he only rev it to 8.5k???? that's not even near the limiter - or is that just where it peaked?
if it runs out of puff so early id say you need to up the mains a size or 2.... did you get a fuelling printout?

tbh mate of that graph id say leave the 190 in the rear & put a 185 / 188 in the front.
perhaps go to 180 front & 188 rear.
also weak low down - have you still got the standard 45 pilot jets??? ive got 50s in mine now m8 and it runs hell of a lot better.
i think tony has a set of 48s spare... so have i but not got a clue where they are lol.
might also be worth getting yourself a mixture screw adjusting tool.
alternative is spend a lot of dosh on dyno times and let them sort it for you!

Popped ROaS's manual CCT's in (couple of years past since I replaced the failed front), replaced oil, filter, air filter, plugs, balanced the carbs, gunked, washed and rubbed down. Smooooooth.

Starts with a R. Rrrrrrrr. Motorbike!

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
finished my scooter
apart from sponsor decals & the white wheels which i'll fit when i've got new tyres.

starts & runs great
had a fkin nightmare yesterday (&today) trying to refit the carb with a proper manifold... holes didnt line up, couldnt find my tap set, then it was hitting the cct, then realised there was no vacuum take-off for the fuel tap, then finally got it to fit but the air filter was hitting the undertray & shock!
worth it in the end!
just about to clear the garage now then i can crack on putting the storm back together

They shouldn't be leaking already, they went in without any probs, and weren't damaged when fitted, so don't know why that's occurred.
Let me know when the new seals arrive and we can have a look, unless now you've seen it done you're ok to play by yourself?

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
