Post by alec »

Hi all,
today i put in 2 more job applications along with posting out and emailing 25 cv's to various companies, if these fail then i'll have to go against doctors orders and go back on the lorries so fingers crossed.

Good luck Alec, times are hard out there just now. My wife spent 7 mths looking for a job but managed to get one in Jan (only temp though) this week she got offered another job but when she went to hand in her notice they wanted to keep her and make her permanent.

My young lad is 18 and he is having a tough time too. He wants to be a chef and was at college last year doing a professional cookery course.
He even applied for McDonalds but got told he is overqualified. FFS what has the world come to.

Hopefully something will turn up mate, keep the chin up

good luck bud - try using this site.... http://www.cvlibrary.co.uk
i get calls from them a few times a week so theres defo plenty of work out there if you dont mind broadening your search.
it shows all the current vacancies from all the recruiters & agencies and jobcentres.
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.
