i have changed the rear shock twice today, 1st time the adjuster sheared off the top of the new second hand one from Animal, so i decided to refurb mine, quick rub over 3 coats of primer a 3 black looks good as new lol, also went to do the pro link greasing only to find i have grease nipples already installed what a result eh, its all back together now just gotta test it
98% of all Harleys ever sold are still on the road. The other 2% made it home

Nice belly pan jazzcott! ;)Jazzscot wrote:Took her out for a run today to test the new aerodynamics. I like the new belly pan lots.
Gave her a wash and took a couple of pics.
Just need to paint the back wheel next.
That looks really nice just like my one that I had. Sob sob

As the firestorm is in getting some new rubber fitted i thought i would take the "old girls" out over the easter weekend. The BSA is a 1927 250 deluxe. It is a 3 speed (hand change), throttle is either on or off, not much in the suspension department and as for the brakes.........well they sort of work. It is mechanically sound, but i didn't want to restore it, as i think they look better unrestored. Oily rag i think it is called.

The other is a 1946 Douglas T35. It is a 350cc which i have spent the last 6 years restoring. When i got it, it was in a million bits in 5 cardboard boxes. I done 99% of the work myself with the help of some good friends and i'm very proud of it. Probably because it's my 1st attempt of building a vintage bike, so got a bit of a soft spot for it.
