sorted mate... cracking bunch of guys, no slackers and bullshitters which is refreshing after 4yrs with the last shower of clowns.
done 2 days so far, 3 sites yesterday & just been down to chesham & back.... loads of work on which again makes a change.
got a crappy van for a few weeks like but so far it's great - no company vehicle tax (was £120 a mth) got a fuel card so i dont have to buy my own diesel and beg for it back, plus i get paid for the hours i do instead of doing 10 - 15hrs a day and only getting paid for 8.
very happy with it and think it was a timely move
no word from the other jokers yet.... waiting to see what / if i get paid next week before i begin operation database
glad its ok mate, get paid then use it
98% of all Harleys ever sold are still on the road. The other 2% made it home
You don't just walk into a job without a good history/rep/work ethic - so you have earn't that sweetness!
I do find it frustrating - Pauline soooo wants to work - but her daughter has a learning disability, and she put her career on hold for her. She's lived on the breadline for years, and now that she has a chance to return to work, she just can't find anything that pays enough to live on. Grrrr...
As some of you may know, I broke my back 5 years ago - I suffer dreadful pain and fatigue at times, but my ethics have kept me at work (in a high pressure environment too) I get so P'd off that I don't even get DLA to pay for Physio/Gym to keep me mobile... Yup - the welfare system is real wombles up
Condolences and congrats. If it were me I'd still cause the last mob grief going through the unfair dismissal route, just for the hell of it. Having employed people in the past I know what a time consuming affair it can be. But then thats just me. There is value in the old saying "What goes around comes around"
