front end trouble
bought a cheap vtr that had a light spill now find that the front end is slightly out of line is there anything i can do to check it all bar buying a new scrap front end???

99% the bottom yoke will be twisted as they are made of biscuit.... theres load on ebay though.
i got mine for a tenner - after a relatively light ding the yoke was a good 3mm out.
also check the yoke stops on the frame... if they are deformed at all you can dress them back up with a dremel and make up the difference with weld on the steel yoke stops on the bottom yoke.
you need to make sure there is no trap zone between the bars & tank as it could fail mot for that if the examiner is thorough.
alternatively you could fit a front end off a gixer or 954 blade with usd forks and better brakes.

You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Alex, you could check that the fork legs are just not twisted in the yokes
