Stripped out the MIg high levels and cut out the rear baffles.

Much louder, more satisfying and I no longer have a bike with a louder intake than exhaust.

Only downside is no more trackdays, it certainly won't pass a noise test now.

But I'm getting big backfires whenever I slow down, so tomorrow I'll have a look for air leaks.

bugger that, keep them mine does it all the time; i say that it is the girl talking to me...

Took mine out for a trip to work and back today, the longer way.

Mine also back fires a bit and burbles a lot on the over run. Sounds fine.

rushed mine down for an MOT after looking at the weekend and finding it ran out on the 2nd of april!!!! Ooooops, so did the TT this yr with no mot passed first time

It amazes me how you don't get a reminder for the mot, you get a reminder for every other money grabbing thing

I found on the gov website yesterday, same place that you go to renew your road tax, you can set up a text alert but you need the number off your MOT certificate to set up.

Today I replaced a buggered fork seal. Yes I know I should have done both but the nightmare I had getting the broken one done!

Cutting the long tedious story short. It took around 8 hours. About half an hour to jack the bike up, take the wheel off and fork out. About the same putting it back together and taking it off the stand. The rest of the time was half spent trying to take the old fork seal out to change and putting the fork back together. Turns out the previous person who went near it went near it with so much ignorance that the fork seal was welded into the fork leg. It took several hours and a shedload of brute force just to get the thing off. I should have taken a picture of the state we left the seal in! Putting the thing back together proved another problem. The oil lock at the bottom inside the fork was buggered and spinning freely so I couldnt tighten the allen nut at the bottom of the fork, (yes you know the one) Turned out the last mechanic, and I use the term losely, had sheared off one of the nubbin thingys that lock the part in place. So into a vice with a bit of knocking we created another nubbin to hold it steady. Back to the garage and everything went on with no problem.

We decided that because the other fork seal is fine we'll leave it. Yes I know, if it comes in pairs then do both. baldrocks to that!

I used to like you guys! The time was spent trying to figure out why the seal wouldnt come out and then using brute force and ignorance, including a whacking great big marlin spike to get the bugger out. Then trying to figure out why the allen bolt wont tighten.

Took her for an Mot (yesterday). Pleased to say that the old girl passed with flying colours :-) now its all taxed and back on the road.

Only problem is, after a day of riding about I've blown the end plate off my exhaust can lol so that's a job that'll need sorting before our next outing

Today I gave the beastie a quick bath and a chain oil. I need to get me a paddock stand. This wheeling the bike forward a few inches, squirting the chain and repeating would be so much less effort with a stand.

Today, baby got new shoes.
Pirelli Angel ST's, £275 fitted (ouch). £25 cashback via the website, must remember to do that...
Read good reviews of them, but had to have them after seeing this line in a review:

Edit - Just renewed my insurance, renewal notice came from MCE asking for £208.92, which sounded pretty reasonable to me.
A quick look at http://www.thebikeinsurer.co.uk/, and i got it down to £113.52 Result!
