PLEASE could some talk me through how to put pictures on this website ; I have uploaded to photobucket and have tried tried and tried to make anything of uploading to here All it gives me is to l;ink to face book etc etc

easy mate. just do this.
install imageshack toolbar is your best bet for hosting.
it's free and easy to use http://toolbar.imageshack.us/ImageShackToolbar.exe
dont worry about resizing, this site will do it for you when displaying pics, though 800x600 is plenty for forum pics imo.
upload the image you want to imageshack, then right click & copy the 'direct link'
then when you're posting, either click the 'Img' tab and paste the link between the brackets or just type [ img] before the link and [/img ] after it, with no spaces.

You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.
