Brit floyd tickets

Post by pinkyfloyd »

A few weeks ago I entered a draw for some Britfloyd tickets at the Basingstoke Anvil. Today I got an Email claiming I had won 4 tickets.

Any one want to go? Need to be a floyd fan, need to be able to make your way to and from Basingstoke and need to be available tomorrow night. Thursday 30th June.

Short notice I know but out of my hands.

I am currently trying to confirm whether this is legit. I have no reason to doubt it as the email came from the britfloyd site and I did enter the draw but last thing I want to do is drag myself and others all the way there. So will update.

Have put feelers out on another forum and facebook so no promises but any interest PM me and I'll get back to you tomorrow when I know for definate if its a go or waste of time.
And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes, I'll see you on the dark side of the moon.

Ok, I'll do what I can - timings are close enough to be achievable. It'll cost me cakes for the staff, but I'll take a change of clothes and a clear visor, and give it my best shot.

Change visor now. Pick up cakes on the way too work. Change clothes and walk out at 5PM meet me at wickham and we'll trundle up the road and scare the kittens along the A32.

From reviews they are every bit as good as the Aussie Floyd and I've seen them twice and each time blown away.

Need a bit more persuasion?

Job done - clear one in elbow bag, polo shirt in rucksack, will have to wear leathers...

Have kicked staff into life, and all is good.

See ya at Wickham fella!

Great stuff. See you between 5:20 and 5:30. I'm leaving my place at 5pm so by the time I ride up to wickham.

Lillies tea and coffee shop is at the top end of the square. If we meet there. There'll be another lad on a blue SV650. He's only 19 so probably restricted but he's up for going and I'd take anyone who wants to go as its not costing me anything.

I'll be bringing my chain lock too. Only a cheapy but I have a decent disk lock too. Thinking we can probably chain all 3 bikes together through the wheels or something using both chains. Safety in numbers etc. Looks like it will be a nice day so we can probably chain the lids too. Normally I just hook the D ring under the seat onto the little hook but I dont trust basingstoke. Hear its pretty crap for crime.

No worries - good plan. I'll grab some bin bags from work to cover them...
