I normally don't post a lot but thought i'd start making a change...

Over the last two days I have changed my throttle tube to a quick action one, done the airbox mod that I see somewhere, took the flywheel off and skimmed it down to the dims noted in the post with a nice picture at the end of it..(thanks benny) greased my shock linkages, bought some 6 spoke wheels, beadblasted them and now just need them painted when I think what colour I want them, fitted a speedo healer and digi gear indicator, changed the dash lights to blue for a change while I was there, adjusted the chain, fitted a 5mm rear shock spacer, dropped the forks 10mm and fitted a steering damper in case it made the handling a little twitchy... lastly filled the scottoiler and then washed and cleaned it.

I don't get to ride it till this afternoon after all the changes, makes me wonder what it is going to be like...
Why ask... sometime you just go to do it and find out?

youve been busy then... thats quite a lot of work done in one go!
with the flywheel mod you will notice it is a hell of a lot more revvy, more willing to rev and the revs drop off quicker when you clutch it.... might take a bit to get used to but you will like

I noticed the revs drop a lot quicker... and is it normal that it stalled twice till it got a little warmer? did you raise the tickover a little to compensate?

Been sitting here chuckling away to meself after doing the flywheel and throttle etc together, got a feeling I may end up on my butt or seomething coming out of a roundabout and giving a little too much where it is all a bit new... or wondering why I see the the clocks a lot earlier and then the bright blue sky from my back!!

According to Akrapovic specs, the systems weighs 7.5 kg (or about 16.5 lb) less than the stock system. Much of the weight saving are relatively far back and high up (a significant part of the savings being in the cans) so it will impact positively on the bike's handling......

Finally removed subframe and painted it and then refitted. Also fitted goodridge hoses. All ready for Mallory at the weekend.

looks like my bike at the moment but cleaner.....hahaha
i decided to go with race fairings and endurance style front end with projector headlights, by the way i used cbr954 forks and yokes, do you have any clearance issues with the clip-ons using cbr900 parts?
i had to get bar risers in the end, got them from china danimoto £70, £100 cheaper than anywhere else but i doubt the quality will be that good.
i like the idea of a cafe racer geoff, maybe red with white daytona stripes like the ducati monster?

It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.
