Very tidy, I probably will own either a Busa or a ZZR14 at some point. Effortless grunt that goes on for ever.........sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet. Looks like a nice buy Marramarravtr wrote:just sold my SP and gone back to the darkside of the il4, wanted to try a somthing that would take me overseas next year for a couple of weeks, but still get me there quick sooooo.....................................Beamish wrote:Had one, then an SP2. Both great bikes but for me the GSXR1000 K5/K6 is the best bike I have owned to date bar none. Would I have another Storm ?.........possibly, because its a great bike for peanuts and gives you the SP soundtrack. Would I have another SP.........no, I would of liked to have kept my old one but I wouldnt pay out again. I will continue to buy, sell and ride as many bikes as possible looking for two wheeled Nirvana but at the moment the Gixxer has done touring, trackdays and sunday scratching better than I could have imagined. It has character, is blindingly fast, has shite loads of midrange and will wheely to order. Thing is I might just have to buy another K5/K6 with low miles to eventually replace this one![]()
NOTE: I am fully aware that this will not be an opinion shared by any members of this forum bar Mellis and I am prepared for a barrage of IL4 abuse![]()

who bought the sp bud????marravtr wrote:
hope it went to a loving owner!
i have been looking at a few sp#s recently on the quiet and must admit the more i see the more i like the idea... plus i can keep my plate.
was chatting to a guy on a busa yesterday in derbyshire... he'd just wrecked his front wheel bearing.... we were on about tyres and stuff like you do and he commented that he's lucky to see much over 500 miles from a rear if he rides it hard

that is an expensive habit lol

i do like the big zzr though..... awesome bike!
not too keen on the fat butt on the busa but ive seen a fair few that have been made very pretty and yes, they can move!

You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.
Re: show of hands
Since I purchased the 'storm all of 6 years ago it still puts a silly grin on my face. Its the engine you know. The only bike to ever do that in 30 odd years of riding. Commuting on it is a bit of a pig though. Lately I've been using that bobber thing I did, fun for the novelty factor and easier to commute on, avoiding pot holes of course! And the bars are a bit wide.
Always get the storm out for early sunday blast giggles. I'll never understand why Honda never updated it and just dropped it.
