New Superhawk owner!

Post by azvtr1000rider »

I joined this forum less than a month ago in anticipation of owning a VTR!! Finally found a 99 with only 1040 miles!! Yup, you read that right!! 1040 original miles. Not the color I would prefer, but I think I can get used to it!! Image

welcome to the forum buddy, with that sort of mileage you should be trouble free for quite some time, but just incase, check yor cct's are manual which i doubt hahaha and that your reg/rec is of the finned type again i doubt it, other than that just get out there and ride the bugger and have some fun.................

Nice purchase.

That doesn't look like Britain, whereabouts are you?

And did you get history, as the tail unit looks to have been resprayed- no stickers.....
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

IIRC US Superhawks didn't have the V2 DOHC decal or anything else on the tail plastic apart from the small HONDA at the top rear.

Very tidy - now what are you planning on altering?
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

I might suggest new tyres if they are original 99 fitment they will be past there best by now, even if they have tread left on them

Thanks for the many suggestions. I am in Arizona, USA. All plastic as posted is original. I'm sure the tires are original too. Plan to have bike inspected by Honda dealer. Will look at fitting new rubber!
