ive been pulled over in the past for passing on solid lines, while still in my lane....
i said the same thing - i didnt cross the line. plod cautioned me anyway.
and again, filtering round a left hand bend.... stationary line of cars, i rolled past them as you do and was then stopped by a police car who i had also overtaken.
he said i should never overtake on a left hand bend
when i asked why he just said cos its dangerous. i said how is it dangerous when the traffic is stopped?he then proceeded to detain me until everyone id overtaken had gone past.
(wonker)i find it ridiculous that blame can be apportioned the way it is. especially in cases where drivers tbone a bike or pull a u turn cos they get impatient in traffic.
all you can do is expect it and be ready for it.
the other week, think ziggy was out with us... we had pulled over to wait for someone and a furious woman stopped behind us, ranting her head off that we had overtaken her on both sides.

go back & read the highway code again bimbo. perfectly legal.
thats what happens when you crawl along in the middle of the road.
