Hi folks,
I'm a bit torn at the moment as to what to do with my bike, I'm wondering if it's worth selling it to help pay for my Storm, or better to keep it as a workhorse and ride it into the ground. To help me I'm just wondering, if you were in the market for that type of bike, say on ebay, what would you be willing to pay? This isn't a for sale ad and the bike isn't on ebay, it's just to help me with the value.
Bike is a '98 GSX600-F, 54k miles, slightly below average bodywork (scratches and scuffs here and there, but no actual damage as such).
Recent new powder coating on wheels, Delkivic stainless can and link pipe, 75% left on tyres, chain and sprockets have seen less than 400 miles, starts fine, runs fine, brakes are fine (had new discs and pads fairly recently).
If you wanted a bike like that, what would you give me?
Cheers folks

Dunno what it's worth, but it will sell in a couple of months as people want a winter hack instead of riding their shiny new one through rain and snow.
Advertise it on E Blag last week of Oct, someone will have your hand off.

Re: What would you pay for this bike....
Hi, I sold my GSXF600 after I bought my storm almost exactly a year ago.
Mine was 99 'v' with a genuine 9k from new, I was the 3rd owner. I got £800 for it. Unfortunately they are not the most desirable bike ( although as you say quite underated )
Based on this I would say yours is worth £500 - £600

Cheers for the inputs, I figured it probably wasn't worth much more than maybe £600 so at least nobody said £250!
Even £400 would be quarter of the way to a very nice VTR on a good day, maybe it's worth trying to get shot in winter before the MOT, tax, etc all come up again.
