been slowly changing the tdm to the way i want it, here's the progress so far.

still got a few bits to do like respray the nose cone and fairings in silver and remove the nasty orange tape from the rear wheel but its getting there
98% of all Harleys ever sold are still on the road. The other 2% made it home
The TDM is looking good Alec, I know peoples tastes are quite often different, but I like what you are doing to your new bike personally.
I imagine it must have been a lot of filling for all those bullet holes and it must have been difficult not to lose any fuel before filling them in the tank
On a more serious note, I know why you got the TDM, but how do you rate it against the Firestorm

Truthfully Chris, i miss the storm sometimes, that power and torque, but the tdm has the comfort and touring factor and goes off road as well, but i've still got a Twin albeit a parralell one, but it does lack the VTr's grunt, i am happy with the tdm and am happy to have it, but of the 2 i can honestly say the storm is a superior built bike.

You're right Alec, you've still got a twin Quite a few rate these bikes for touring on. I expect the riding position is much better for you, and the bigger fuel tank must be a bonus too.
No worries Chris, the carpe-tdm forum reckon the 850 version is better than the newer 900 one, i love the fuel economy and the upright position, the seat can be a bit ass numbing but thats on my list of to do's

Out of interest what do they say is better about the 850 against the 900

I'm not sure Chris they just seem to do a lot of slating the 900 on the carpe-tdm forum but that could just be jealousy of the newer bike, imho i cant see much difference between them, the 900 does seem to have more problems in the engine dept and apparently you cant fettle them as much, but some people dont buy the bikes to fettle do they.

I did wonder if it was just sour grapes too Perhaps Stratman will be able to tell us, as I think his is the 900 version.
