i just spent the afternoon rubbing down and priming a original bellypan, a front mudguard and a undertray, they come up lovely, mind you i spent a long time rubbing them down so the finish would be good, i'm buzzing from the fumes now tho!!!!!!!!!!
i'd post some pictures but my laptops bluetooth has packed up, bloody thing.
the front mudguard and original bellypan are for sale if anyones interested..........

and heres a picture of my new fireblade front wheel and brakes..........

they are MOOOOOOSIVE........hahaha but then i'm a big bugger so the bike needs all the help it can get. i think i'm just going to put thicker oil in the forks for now, i would love a pair of hyperpro front fork springs, but i've spent to much already i need to reign the spending in a bit.
i'll have a word with my mate tomorrow about that tool you going to need tony......

today i finish my undertray, painted gloss black with several coats of laquer, it's not perfect but then neither am i........
i'm so tempted to spray the front mudguard and original bellypan i have up for sale, but i think it's best left in primer......lol

not to bad a job considering it's the first time i've sprayed anything in many years.........

i know it's a small and crap picture, but this is what the undertray looked like when i bought it..

carplan paint, it looks alot better in the flesh so to speak, my crappy camera phone doesn't do it justice, not to bad for rattle cans, i spent a fair bit of time rubbing it down tho, it was quite rough to begin with...........

Your work reminds me I have a bit of respraying to do myself before the cold weather is with us

Otherwise I'll have to heat the workshop up.

My youngest son reached the grand old age of 17 last Thursday. He has been pottering around on a scooter for the past 12 months doing 27mph everywhere he went.

I managed to pick up a non runner 2002 Honda cg125 which has sat in a garage since 2007 and only done 7000 miles or so.

I had to replace the piston and barrel as the last owner had managed to seize the engine. Generally I have been tidying it up over the past few weeks for the wee man and today I finally gave it a wash. I think it is ready for an MOT.

Total cost so far Â including purchase price, new battery, barrel, piston and sundries etc comes to Â£250.

So hopefully he will be going faster than 27mph when he gets his hands on this.

tis the time to start thinking about tinkering with bikes, what with the weather beginning to turn wintery, i'm much better now thanks chris and i've got the respraying bug big time, i've just picked up a cbr900 rear hugger to fit on my braced swingarm, the only problem is it's bright red, so i'm about to get the sandpaper on it and try to improve on my previous efforts.......lol

Well today I took the bike out with the baffles removed from the new Viper cans..........wow the engine was enjoying the free breathing pipes, boosting the midrange and top end oomph. On more than 1 occasion I was looking to change up a gear only to find I was in top already.

Surprised how much was hidden in there, with the baffles in it was similar in power to how the bike ran with my old debaffled stock pipes (but a bit quieter), but with them out it was much stronger

if the finish is good and smooth i would just key the paint with a brilow pad and spray the colour onto it first coat must be light then when its gone tacky 2nd heaver coat then let to harden then key it again then clear coat it ..

ive got my blade hugger today already painted black (yay no need to paint ) thats a first for me lol
