Sorry for my language but that sort of stuff really gets to me, to the point where I almost feel extremist.
It's not extremism mate, it's patriotism. You can't be condemned for being patriotic
That once was the case, however I wouldn't want to test it anymore. There are certain sections of society who regard patriotism as extremism for the sake of their own ends.

Unfortunately this appears to absolutely true, anyone who shows patriotism is generally described as a bigot, racist, little Englander etc and told by the powers that be their opinion is ‘unsophisticated’ which is essentially saying the majority of the population is stupid and their opinion is flawed because it differs from the idealistic and ‘sophisticated ‘ hogwash shouted by the bleeding heart liberals. And let’s not forget it’s this so called ‘unsophisticated’ majority of honest , decent, hardworking, taxing paying citizens who fuel this country’s economy (what’s left of it) the very same body of people who are forced to put up with legislation which actively punishes it, while rewarding the lazy and feckless the illegal immigrants, the druggies and criminals the perverts and pedophiles, the pikeys and thieves the religious extremists and terrorists and everybody else that benefits from been a ‘minority’ that take, take , take while giving back nothing.
If that opinion makes me a racist or bigot the so be it, I sick and tired of be made to feel ashamed of been honest and decent.

I am not feeling very eloquent today, so I cant compete with the last few replies, but agree 100%.

this is part of the reason why we need to join the MAG protest sunday, these are the same do-gooding minority who think they know how to save notorcyclist from there selves...........they will try and push through rules for our own safety wheter they are practical / effective, or not.

Also agree on Jazz comments that Scotland is about the only place left where the roads are clear now, even Wales, north Yorkshire and Cumbria are getting to busy...........time to go back home for a long weekend me thinks

the only real way to beat the mindless hordes is to get out early, in the summer with the light mornings an early blast around north yorks is great, with only likeminded poeple on the roads between 6.30 and 8.30 on a Sun is best, after a couple of hours thrash find a nice cafe for brekky and a de-brief then back home to watch BSB / Moto GP prefect.
never been up to Scotland on the bike, it always seemed a long way, but may become the only place to find great roads you can atually use, plus I have friends in Reston just over the border nr Berwick who have plenty of land for a potential camping stop over to break the journey up.
