Doesn't that twisty cord thingy interfere with the steering?

Or is it a new type of dampener?

Its not a dampener its the latest addition to the "I'm a stupid Fker who keeps forgetting his disc lock is on"

After almost dropping the GSXR i owned prevously by starting the bike up and riding forward 2 feet before coming to an unexpected stop I decided to invest in a reminder.

I had a similar wake-up call once, and now leave my ignition keys in the empty disc lock pouch in my pocket (or put the pouch with keys inside on the hall table, when indoors).

It's impossible to forget to take it off when you still have the empty pouch in your hand, and you can't start the bike until you have the pouch out to remind you to take the lock off.

And people passing in the street don't comment on how cheap and flimsy your yellow security chain is!

Disk lock damage caused this when I moved off

Had to get another disk as it caused a judder all the time. thought it was a wheel or tyre problem till I checked out the run out on both disks

Cheers

I was lucky my brake disc lived with no damage. Same couldnt be said for the fairing tho which suffered scratches. Clutch lever bent but was straightened with a pull.

I have since gotten into the habit of putting the lock on as close to the brake caliper as possible. That way the bike wont move much if I forget to attach my silly bit of plastic.

Ultimatly though. I'd rather have people laugh at my pathetic security cord that cost me £1.99 on egay than have to shell out £150 for new brake discs

Yeah, but in m y experience significant other will whinge if you spend £300 on a Braking Wave set when the standard ones are ok, but will approve the spend if the standard discs are dangerous because they're bent......
