Its a strange world

Post by boz »

I was in a pretty bad accident last year on the bike. Wont go in to it but I owe my life to a top lorry driver who managed to avoid me going under his trailer. Anyway, this lorry belonged to a particular local firm and I just heard that the boss of said firm was tragically killed in a bike accident about 2 miles away on the same road I had mine.
I was flabbergasted when I heard this so my thoughts go out to his family.

i suppose it comes down to when it's your time, and the timing can be very cruel sometimes. like yourself i was involved in a major accident, mine was almost a year ago and i'm yet to swing a leg over my bike in anger since the accident, as soon as i can tho, i will be doing the rideout for the essex air ambulence, those guys made all the difference for me. one thing i've learnt in the last year is that theres always someone worse off than yourself, so just smile and get on with, always look to the future never the past............ :)
HEY YOU GUYS!!!!!!

Blimey! Fate I suppose.

On a similar vein but not at all tragic, I took my Storm for it’s MOT today and bumped into an old friend that I’ve not seen for about three years. The strange thing was, on that other occasion, I was also roaming around town waiting for my bike to be MOT’ed when I bumped into him!. Weird…

I suppose as Dylan would say, “…it’s a simple twist of fate.”

I also have a friend who's an MOT tester.

And he wore a leopard-skin polka dot hat.

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Boz,
You would'nt be from up in the Tayside area are you- if so I know of the particular chap you are on about through mutual friends. Had heard he was an all round good chap and ran along the lines of "work hard- play harder". Strange world indeed. Life cind'a sucks when this happens--

On MOT front- why the 3 year gap?? forgoten to get it renewed yah muppets- only asking as I forgot about mine and ran about for 3 weeks till it dawned on me. hay ho... probably riding past a copper speed trap made the grey matter go into overtime..
Don't hassle me
I'll get there at some time
